Our church takes seriously Christ's call to show His love to others at every opportunity. Members of our church are involved in vital ministries within the community of Morehead, such as Hope Pregnancy Center, Habitat for Humanity, Rowan County Homeless Shelter, People to People, and Christian Social Services as well as the outreach Ministries of our own church.

In addition, members of our church have served on mission teams all over the world. We have touched lives in remote locations in Mexico, Peru, Guatemala, Kazakstan, and Ethiopia. Join us in future missions. For details, click on the links below.

The Mexican mission is an extension of Morehead UMC's local Hispanic ministry. Mission work in Mexico focuses on the southern states of VeraCruz and Oaxaca, where most of our Hispanic brothers and sisters in and around Morehead town are from. This ministry serves as a bridge, connecting families on both sides of the US border and focusing on the root causes of immigration that separate families due to extreme poverty. The Mexican mission is a mission of accompaniment, working together with the Mexican Methodist Church in their ministries to the hurting and poor. This ministry promotes leadership and cell groups to spread the Good News. Currently in process is the invitation to work in the Yucatan region to grow a church.
